Questions About Forklift License Sydney

1. How old do I need to be to get my forklift license?

To go for your forklift licence, you have to be 18 years or older.

2. What does it mean by LF and LO forklift license?

LF and LO are both classes of forklift licenses.

The LF Forklift License allows you to drive any Forklift except for an Order Picker/Stock Picker Forklift and is the most commonly obtained license.

The LO Forklift License allow you to operate the  Order Picker/Stock Picker type Forklift.

3. I’m from overseas and I’ve operated forklifts before in my country.  I’ve even got a license. Can I operate a forklift in Sydney?

Overseas forklift licenses are not recognized in Sydney. If you wish to operate a Forklift in Sydney you will need to be re-assesed within Australia for the appropriate license.

4. Is it ok for me to practise operating a Forklift at work?

In short, no. Due to some recent changes that occurred last year, you need to do a proper forklift course before being aloud to drive. Employers will now have to send new staff  straight to forklift license Sydney.

5. How long do your course run?

We offer a number of different forklift license courses. They range from half-day to one, two or three day programs dependent upon experience.

6. Where are your forklift license courses located?

7. Is it compulsory to do a refresher course prior to assesment?

It is not compulsory to do a refresher forklift training course. However, with most things, there may be times where you want to do a refresher course and is recommended to all our applicants.

8. Are your trainers experienced?

All Forklift License Sydney trainers are Authorised Certificate Assessors. Our trainers have many years experience with both forklifts operation and training students.

9. How many days a week are you open?

Many of our centers are open 6 days a week. On certain occassions and by request we can also facilitate Sunday training also. For further availability please call us.

10. What should I wear for training?

You should wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes. If you do not wear closed shoes, you will not be admitted with open footwear of any kind.

12. What are the pre-requirements to do the forklift license?

Firstly, you must be at least 18 years of age. It is advisable to have a basic understanding of both written and spoken English. That way you can understand and pass the theory test. Finally, you will need to have 100 Points of ID for applying for your forklift license.
